Central Public Works Department invites applications from SC & ST Category candidates for the recruitment of 195 Mechanic, Wire man and Operator posts. Eligible candidates can send applications in the prescribed format within 30 days from the date of publication of advertisement. 2. Senior Mechanic (E&M): 02 Posts
3. Mechanic (AC&R): 16 Posts
4. Wire man: 36 Posts
5. Operator: 139 Posts (75 (SC), 64 (ST))

Age Limit: Candidates’ age limit is 20 to 30 years for S.No 1, 3, 4, 5 Posts and 21 to 30 years for S.No 2 Post as on 01-01-2007. Relaxation is applicable as per the rules.

Educational Qualifications: Candidates must possess ITI Diploma in the trade of Electrician or Fitter, must have Wireman license Grade-II for S.No 1 Post; Trade certificate ITI Diploma in Mechanical Engg for S.No 2 Post; must have passed in Matriculation and must have undergone 12 months Refrigeration Mechanics or equivalent courses in a recognized Technical Institute for S.No 3 Post; should have passed ITI Diploma or equivalent qualification in the trade, must have Electrical Workman permit/ workman’s competency certificate, Electrical workman’s/ lineman license or any other equivalent certificate for S.No 4 Post; should have passed 10th standard and Industrial Training Institute one year Trade Course of Diesel Mechanic for S.No 5 Post with relevant experience.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on trade test/ interview.

How to Apply: Interested candidates need to send applications in the prescribed format along with attested copies of all relevant certificates, two copies of recent passport size photographs (one must be affixed on application) by super scribing the post applied for on the envelope must reach the Superintending Engineer (E), Coordination Circle (Elect)., CPWD, East Block-I, Level-7, R.K.Puram, New Delhi-110066 within 30 days from the date of publication of advertisement. Original certificates must be produced at the time of Trade test/ Interview.
