Faculty Positions

Positions in Engineering Disciplines

Professor : 

• Essential Qualification : B.E. / B.Tech and M.E. / M.Tech in relevant branch with 1st Class or equivalent either in B.E. / B.Tech or M.E. / M.Tech and Ph.D or equivalent in the appropriate disciplines
• Relevant Experience : Minimum of 10 years teaching / research / industrial experience of which at least 05 years should be at the level of Associate Professor in the grade pay of 8700/- and above in PB – IV or equivalent. The teaching experience should be in a degree level institution. 03 years Post Ph.D experience is essential.
• Additional desirable requirements : Post Ph.D publications and guiding Ph.D students are highly desirable

Associate Professor : 

• Essential Qualification : B.E. / B.Tech and M.E. / M.Tech in relevant branch with 1st Class or equivalent either in B.E. / B.Tech or M.E. / M.Tech and Ph.D or equivalent in appropriate disciplines
• Relevant Experience : Minimum of 05 years experience in teaching / research / industry of which 02 years Post Ph.D experience is desirable. The person should have minimum teaching experience of three years with AGP of Rs. 7600 or above or equivalent in PB-3.
• Additional desirable requirements : Post Ph.D publications and guiding Ph.D students are highly desirable

Assistant Professor : 

• Essential Qualification : B.E. / B.Tech and M.E. / M.Tech in relevant branch with 1st Class or equivalent either in B.E. / B.Tech or M.E. / M.Tech from a recognised University
• Additional desirable requirements : Ph.D in relevant discipline and/or published research papers in journals of high repute is desirable

Positions in Applied Sciences & Humanities

Professor : 

• Essential Qualification : An eminent scholar with Ph.D qualifications in the concerned / allied / relevant discipline and published work of high quality actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with a minimum of 10 publications as books and / or research / policy papers.
• Relevant Experience : A minimum of 10 years of teaching experience in university/college, and/or experience in research at the University / National Level institutions /industries including experience of guiding candidates for research at Doctoral level. The person should have a post Ph.D teaching experience at UG / PG level at a level of Associate Professor in PB-IV with a grade pay of 8700/- and above or equivalent of over 5 years. Contribution to educational innovation design of new curricula and courses and technology mediated teaching learning process

Associate Professor : 

• Essential Qualification : i. Good academic record with a Ph.D. degree in the concerned / allied / relevant disciplines. ii. Master’s degree with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed.
• Relevant Experience : A minimum of 08 years of experience of teaching and / or research in an academic / research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University College or Accredited Research Institution/industry excluding the period of Ph.D research with evidence of published work and a minimum of 05 publications as books and / or research / policy papers. The person should have minimum teaching experience of three years with GP of Rs. 7600 or above or equivalent in PB-3.
• Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology mediated teaching learning process with evidence of having guided doctoral candidates and research students

Assistant Professor : 

• Essential Qualification : i. Good academic record with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade at the Master’s degree in the relevant subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. ii. Should have passed the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET. iii. Holders of Ph.D. degree, shall be exempted from NET/SLET/SET. iv. NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such Masters  Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted.
• Additional desirable requirements : Ph.D in relevant discipline and/or published research papers in journals of high repute is desirable

Age Limit :

Associate  Professor : 50 years
Assistant Professor

• Regular : 35 years
• Contractual : 65 years

Application Form must be accompanied by a demand draft of Rs.500/- in case of General/OBC candidates and Rs.250/- in case of SC/ST/PWD Category candidates drawn in favour of “Registrar, Delhi Technological University”, payable at Delhi. No other mode of payment will be accepted by the University
