IIT Ropar – Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Applications are invited from the Indian nationals for a walk-in interview for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work in the DST-SERB project (No. SR/S2/LOP-0021/2012) entitled “Energy and coherence dynamics in photo-synthetic bacteria” under the supervision of undersigned. The project is theoretical in nature with computational components. It is possible for the selected candidate to register for Ph.D. program according to the existing institute rules.

Junior Research Fellow

Position: One
Duration: 3.0 years or till the completion of the project whichever is earlier.
Essential Qualifications: M. Sc. or equivalent degree in Physics with at least 60% marks (or CGPA 6.5/10) and valid GATE/CSIR-UGC NET score.
Desirable Qualification: Computational programming in Fortran/C.
Emoluments: As per DST rules.
Date and time of Interview: 10 am, June 05, 2013 (Wednesday)

The candidates are requested to report to the Physics Office at 9:30 am on the day of interview and to submit the completely filled application form and photocopies of all the relevant documents along with their originals. No TA/DA will be given for attending interview.
