Following post are to be filled up under the time bound research project entitled District level household survey (DLHS-4) funded by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW) at NIOH, Ahmedabad. The post is purely temporary ad-hoc and contractual basis and co-terminus with the project

 Lab Technician /Laboratory Supervisor

Lab Technician

1. No.of post : 15 (Fifteen)
2. Consolidated Salary Rs.15,462/-p.m.
3. Essential : MLT / B.Sc Biochem / BMLT
4. Desirable: 1-2 years work experience in a laboratory after Diploma / degree
5. Job Requirement : Undertake training for the trainees as per training schedule (mainly by a team of 5-6 persons) comprised of some of the regular staff of the institutions and some contractual staff. Perform Hb estimation in the samples received. Undertake internal QA tests as per protocol. Any other job assigned by the supervisors.
6. Age : 28 yrs.

Laboratory Supervisor

1. No.of post : 2 (Two)
2. Consolidated Salary Rs.21,140/-p.m.
3. Essential: .Sc/B.Sc in Biochemistry Or DMLT with 2-3 Years experience in Research Projects/Nutrition Survey.
4. Job description: Perform regular internal QA measures as per protocol Ensure external Quality Assurance samples are sent as per protocol and Hb estimation done for samples received from other labs and results of all labs compared Perform Hb estimation on the samples received Undertake training as per training schedule Indent and Procure consumables as per schedule/as required Any other job assigned by the supervisors
5. Age : 30 yrs.
