Mode of Appointment : The selected candidates will be recruited as ‘Trainee” Meteorologist Grade-II. During the training these trainees will be paid a Stipend of Rs. 7200/- per month (pre-revised) besides a Book Allowances of Rs. 3600/(One time only) (prerevised). The case of revision of Stipend and Book Allowance is under process in accordance with the revised pay scales of 6th Central Pay Commission’s recommendations. During training period, these trainees will be provided hostel accommodation at subsidized rates, if available. ii) The selected candidates will undergo training for a period of one year at the Training Schools of this Department at Pune and New Delhi. On successful completion of the training, the trainees will be appointed as regular Meteorologist Grade-II in the pay scale of Rs. 15,600-39,100 (in Pay Band-3) + Rs. 5,400 (Grade Pay) .iii) The Departmental candidates who are selected may draw their Grade Pay or Stipend whichever is more favourable to them
Bond : The selected candidates will be required to execute a bond of Rs. 5,00,000 (Rupees Five Lakh only) to the effect that “he or she will not resign during the period of training and for a period of 03 years after appointment as Meteorologist Grade-II failing which he/she will have to pay to the Govt. the bond money of Rs. 5,00,000 (Rupees Five Lakh only).
Application Fee :
  • (a) Candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 25/- (Rupees Twenty five) only either by remitting the money in any branch of the SBI by cash or by using net banking facility of the SBI or by using visa/master credit/debit card.
  • (b) No fee for SC/ST/PH/Women candidates of any community. No “fee exemption”is available to OBC male candidates and they are required to pay the full prescribed fee.
  • (c) Applications without the prescribed fee would not be considered and summarily rejected. No representation against such rejection would be entertained.
