Applications are invited for a temporary post of Junior Research Assistant on contractual basis at the fixed emoluments ofRs.16000/- per month for first two years and Rs18000/-per month for third year funded by Council of Science & Technology, Uttar Pradesh sponsored project entitled “Isolation and screening of K- Solubilising bacteria in soils of Varanasi region for development of Potassic biofertilizer”sanctioned for three years. The post is purely temporary and coterminous with the project.

Junior Research Assistant

Qualifications: The candidate should be M.Sc.(Ag.) in Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry with specialization in  Soil Microbiology or M.Sc. in Microbiology / Microbial Biotechnology. Candidates should have first division at UG and PG levels and must be a resident of Uttar Pradesh. Upper age limit is 28 years as on1st April, 2013. Age relaxation will be given as per rule of the funding agency. SC/ST candidates will be preferred as per GOI rules. Candidates trained in computer application, operation of Flame Photometer and Spectrophotometer will be given preference.
