Recruitment for the post of “Project Fellow ” under funded project
- Name of the project “Molecular and genetic characterization of Drosophila and mouse Ataxin-2 binding protein 1 in the context of spinocerebellar Ataxia type 2”.

- Work involves handling Drosophila populations and people with relevant lab experience will be preferred.

Preference Preference will be given to candidates having some background in structural biology and computer programming experience.
Job requirement Developing algorithms and computer programs to analyze and predict the 3D structures of proteins and protein-protein complexes. Knowledge of C++ and python would be advantageous.
Tenure of the project Initially for a period of one year, extendable for further period of two years subject to satisfactory performance of the candidate and continuation of the study project.
Consolidated fixed emoluments per month Starting from Rs. 22,000/- to Rs. 24,000/- + 20% HRA per month.

Preference Preference will be given to the candidates having experience in implementing and maintaining web based databases and servers along with some system administration. Extensive familiarity with programming languages (mostly C, C++, Phyton, CUDA) is essential. Job duties would include implementing various algorithms to solve biological problems, and to aid in scientific research.

- Experience Minimum two years work experience in any one of the followings :-

3] Academics support functions OR
