Project Assistant & Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
One position of Project Assistant is available at the Department of Polymer Science & Technology under the guidance of Prof. P. P. Kundu for a DST, West Bengal sponsored research project entitled “Synthesis of Derivatives of Chitosan and their IPNs for Oral insulin Delivery”.
- Duration of project is two and half years.
- Eligibility: B.A / B.Sc. / B. Com and any other candidate with a bachelor degree with some working experience in the area of MS-Word, MS-Excel and accounting.
- Fellowship: Rs. 6,200 (fixed) per month.

One position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) is available at the Department of Polymer Science & Technology under the guidance of Prof. P. P. Kundu for a Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MOFPI), Government of India, sponsored research project entitled “Development of Antimicrobial Polymeric Nanocomposite film from PET Waste for Packaging of Milk and Milk Products”.
- Duration : Approx. two years.
- Eligibility: First class M.Sc. in Chemistry (organic/physical/polymer) / Polymer Science with NET (NET-LS is also eligible) or GATE or First class M.Tech in Food Technology/Chemical Engineering/Chemical Technology/Polymer Science & Technology.
- Fellowship: @ Rs. 16,000/- (for 2 years) plus 30% HRA plus Rs. 100/- Medical Allowance per month for JRF as per DST / CSIR norms. M.Sc. without NET / GATE will be offered fellowship as per UGC / CSIR rule.
