UPPER AGE LIMIT (AS ON 30.06.2013)

(i) Senior Resident and Senior Demonstrators 33 years, relaxable for SC/ST candidate upto a maximum period of five years, in the case of OBC candidates upto a maximum period of three years.
(ii) In the case of Orthopaedic Physical Handicapped (OPH) candidates upto maximum period of 5 years for General Category, 8 years for OBC category and 10 years for SC/ST category candidates.
(iii) 35 years for those who are appointed as Senior Residents after completing DM/M.Ch Courses. The age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates.

APPLICATION FEE : General / OBC Category: Rs.1000/- (SC/ST Category: Rs.800/- + Transaction Charges as applicable. Payment through computer generated Challan Form (to be down loaded while applying online) in any branch of State Bank of India or Debit/Credit Card online.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• a) i). For Medical Candidates
  A postgraduate medical degree viz.
  MD/MS/MDS in the respective discipline from a recognized University/Institute.
  ii). For the Post of Geriatric Medicine A Postgraduate medical degree viz. 
  MD in Geriatric Medicine or MD in Medicine from a recognized university/Institute.
  iii). For the post of Pulmonary Medicine and Sleep Disorder 
  A Postgraduate medical degree viz. MD in Medicine or MD in Respiratory Medicine from a  recognized university/Institute.
  iv). For the post of Emergency Medicine 
  A postgraduate medical degree viz. MD in Medicine from a recognized university/Institute
  v). For the post of Laboratory Medicine:-
  A postgraduate medical degree viz. MD in Laboratory Medicine / Pathology / Microbiology / Biochemistry from a recognized University / Institute.
• b). For Non-Medical Candidates (For subjects of Anatomy, Biophysics and Pharmacology)
  (i). The candidate should possess M.Sc Degree in the subject concerned and
  (ii). Ph.D in the subject concerned/allied subject from a recognized University/Institute.
• c). For the posts of Senior Demonstrators in Medical Physics
  M.Sc in Medical Physics with one year experience OR its equivalent recognized qualification OR M.Sc in Physics with Diploma in Radiological Physics.
  (In the event of candidate having M.Sc with Ph.D, the pay scale will be as in the case of other Non-Medical candidates with Phd).

PAY SCALES

(i). For Medical candidates Rs.18,750+6600 (Grade Pay)+NPA plus other usual Allowances.
(ii). For Non-Medical candidates MSc. with Ph.D Rs.16,740+5400 (Grade Pay) plus other usual Allowances.
(iii). For post of Senior Demonstrators in Medical Physics, (those with MSc) of Rs.12,090 plus 4200 (Grade Pay) plus other usual Allowance.
