Member (Female)

• 1. The applicant must be a citizen of India and shall not be less than thirty five years of age, as on 01.01.2013, must possesses a bachelor’s degree, from a recognized University, and is not, otherwise, disqualified as per the provisions contained in the Consumer Protection Act, 1986, and Chandigarh Consumer Protection Rules, 1987.
• 2. The candidate selected for appointment, as Member, shall hold office for a term of five years or up to the age of 65 years, whichever is earlier. All other terms and conditions of the appointment of Member shall be governed by the Consumer Protection Act,1986 and the Chandigarh Consumer Protection Rules,1987. 3. She shall receive a consolidated honorarium of Rs.18000/- per month. She will be entitled to such traveling allowance and daily allowance, on official tour, as are admissible to Grade-I Officers of the Administration of Union Territory, Chandigarh. 4. Only those candidates will be called for interview, whose applications are found complete, in all respects, supported by the requisite attested copies of documents, relating to different columns of application-format, including the proof of income. Any application found incomplete, in this regard, would be rejected during scrutiny
• 5. The candidate shall despatch her application, in such a manner, so that the same complete, in all respects, should reach the office of the President, State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Plot No.5B, Sector 19 B, Madhya Marg, U.T., Chandigarh-160019 on or before the last date of receipt of applications i.e. 31.05.2013 up-to 5.00 p.m. Any application received thereafter, due to postal delay, or for any other reason, will be rejected and disentitle the candidate for any call of interview.
